Synopsis

A tale of rock'n'roll redemption.

Inspired by the true story of Rolling Stones founding member Ian Stewart, who was fired by the group's first manager because he didn't look like a rock star, Roadie vividly captures all the trials, tribulations, and rites of passage musicians go through as they climb the ladder of success. In the process, all the cruel realities of life in the fast lane are revealed, along with an international maelstrom of intrigue that ranges from the glitz of LA to the seedy underbelly of Amsterdam, and from the slopes of St. Moritz to the forbidding Scottish Highlands.

From the Author

Roadie was a blast to write! After decades of turning out non-fiction books, where truth rules, I found the world of fiction to be so creatively freeing. Anyone who's ever been part of a rock band -- or has been on the road with one -- will find characters here they've known for years. Best of all, the most outrageous stories in these pages are absolutely true! I hope you have as much fun reading Roadie as I had writing it.
