About the Author

Quilt artist Janet Pittman has been designing her own quilts since 1994 and quilt patterns since 1998. Her designs are stitched and then embellished to add natural texture and dimension for realistic appliqué. As an experienced artist, quilter, and instructor, she knows how to create patterns with appeal and devise clear instructions. Janet has had her designs in national magazines and finds inspiration from her extensive garden. She is the author of the best-selling book Applique The basics & beyond and the popular Colorful Quilts for Playful Kids
