Review:
I was hoping to find a Sentence Correction book that offered more strategy than memorization, and this one definitely fit the bill. With strategies like the VAMPIRES checklist and the Slash-and-Burn technique to shorten sentences and make errors more obvious, this book helped me attack the test by working smarter and not harder, and I'm making quick work of just about any SC question I see as a result (and avoided a few grammatical errors while writing this review!). --Amazon

I found SC1 and SC2 of the Veritas Prep collection to be essential to my success on the Verbal portion of the GMAT. I did not take the Veritas prep course, I just used the books and the online tutorials and I was able to develop the skills I needed to significantly improve my Verbal score. In my opinion the problems I faced in the Veritas collection, particularly SC1 and SC2, matched or exceeded the most difficult I saw on the test, which made for good preparation, and which led to a 7X0 score. --Amazon

Sentence Correction is completely worth the money. Veritas focuses on helping GMAT test-takers avoid the huge mistake of going with what sounds right in sentence correction questions. They offer a strategy that encompasses all error types and make it manageable to understand and remember. The material is so good that after finishing the first book alone, you'll start running through the sentence correction error types instantly upon getting such a question- it becomes like second nature. They also present answer choices that seem right and explain why they seem right, which gives you the chance to understand why that answer choice is actually wrong and then how to make sure that you avoid such errors going forward. --Amazon
