Section 3 covers the spectrum of issues pertaining to mild TBI (MTBI), including sports concussion, long term sequelae of MTBI, Post-Concussion Disorder, and the co-occurrence of MTBI and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Section 4 focuses on moderate to severe TBI, from pre-hospital care to acute neurosurgical and intensive care unit management, through transition to inpatient rehabilitation and the role of members of the rehabilitation team in caring for those with TBI. Management of the cognitive, behavioral and affective manifestations of TBI is addressed, as is prognosis after TBI and community reintegration.
