Roger Long was raised on a farm near Cashion, Oklahoma. He served in the US Army and in the Navy on a nuclear submarine. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife Mabel D. Roger has spent most of his working life as as Operating Engineer. His hobbies include archery, astrophotography, hunting and fishing.
