Emma Curtis Hopkins offered a method for becoming a healing presence in the world. She broke away from Christian Science and is called “the teacher of teachers” because the founders of all the New Thought denominations studied with her in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Of the many books published in her name, the two best-known are Scientific Christian Mental Practice and High Mysticism, which, with her Resumé, are the basis for this volume.
Here, Ruth L. Miller, editor of the Library of Hidden Knowledge series and author of many books on New Thought and its teachers, interprets Hopkins’ Victorian stream-of-consciousness prose and provides summaries and exercises for the modern reader.
