About the Authors
David J. McLaughlin is a writer and photographer with an abiding interest in the early history of the United States. He has published over a dozen works on the California mission era, ranging from biographies of the key players to illustrated timelines and image collections.
Rubén G. Mendoza is an archaeologist, writer, photographer, widely published author and founding faculty member of the California State University, Monterey Bay.
