About the Author

Highly recognized for her impact within the nonprofit sector, Laura Gassner Otting is Founder & CEO of Nonprofit Professionals Advisory Group, a member of multiple nonprofit boards and a thought leader on mission-driven work. She has spent the last 20 years working to strengthen organizations that weave our social and civic fabric. With her unique insight and a vast breadth of experience, Otting’s writing has been featured in numerous high-profile publications, including The New York Times, the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Money magazine and more. Laura is a curator for TedxBeaconStreet in Boston. Always up for a challenge, Laura completed the 2012, 2014 Boston and 2012 Chicago Marathons, in all cases, raising significant money for charities.
