Shekina Moore, Ed.S., is the founder of the Shekina Moore Style & Brand Agency. She is also the founder of Tween Style Power™ an organization that empowers tween girls to use their style power to promote positive body image. A native of North Carolina, is known as a multi-gifted entrepreneur, educator, designer, fashion stylist, visual brand strategist, image coach, author and public speaker. But as a child she was introverted and reserved. She had secrets. Molestation and secrecy tormented her from a very young age. At the age of 17 molestation reared its ugly head again, but this time accompanied by whispers of how she was "dressed" the days leading up to the incident; heartbreak deepened. Those whispers, however, ushered in a pivotal turn for Moore. Instead of allowing her past molestation and negative imagery of "dress" to have power over her, she took her power back! She used something that would make most bitter make her better. She took styling and fashion by the horns and has been riding ever since. Moore, who began to dabble heavily into trends while attending college, learned through fashion, educating and being a role model that she has a voice. Moore found fashion liberating and began to use it to express herself. She took her power back! Moore consistently validates the power of voice, sharing a nugget she learned from one of her mentors, "Sometimes it is not what happens to you, but what happens for you". This meant it was no longer solely about her regaining her own personal power. This meant another step in growth... moving from taking her own power back to the higher calling of helping others to do the same. This meant sharing her story-openly. Now Moore teaches other women and girls how to allow personal style to work for them and how to take their power back! Moore, who has a passion for helping women grow and own their voice, specializes in personal style and brand strategy. Moore has lived up to her name The Brand Maven. As a pioneering woman in the world of fashion, Moore has worked with clients featured on Good Morning America, CNN, Black Enterprise, Kiplinger's, NBC, CBS and more. Having assisted hundreds upon hundreds of clients with their visual brand, Moore's model is "Refine-Wrap-Position-Unleash-Accelerate!" where she helps women refine their brand, wrap their brand is authentic packaging, position themselves for greater opportunities, and unleash the best version of themselves to accelerate their platforms!
