It seems like a million years since I had a soldering iron in my hand and that I have been engaging in my most favorite programming activity, namely programming of embedded systems. In the past, I did shy away from the expenses that came with embedded programming, but with the emergence of inexpensive prototyping systems such as the Arduino or Raspberry Pi this concern doesn't exist anymore.
