Even in this fast paced world we live in, there are still a few that choose to live their lives in the Old Way. Levy Yellow Hand is a full blooded Crow raised on the most remote part of the reservation, near Mystic Canyon, the land of the Nirumbee, the Little People. Levy’s connection to these Little People helps him discover the beautiful young blond named Sadie. She had been kidnapped by the Nirumbee when she was only six years old. With Levy’s help, Sadie finds the band of Little People who have made the Ice Caves on the Pryor Mountains their home. Levy and Sadie are living in the Old Ways on the Pryors when Levy is attacked by a grizzly bear. With the help of the Little People of the Ice Caves, Levy recovers but soon finds himself the focus of the largest manhunt in Montana history.

Born in Lovell, Wyoming, Bret Marchant spent a good part of his youth in and around the Crow Reservation in Montana. As a boy growing into a man, Bret tended cows on a ranch that extended from the Bighorn River to the east to the Pryor Mountains to the west. The Bighorn Basin was his front yard. He knows this land and shared his knowledge in a coffee-table full-color history book of the area called "A Clear View of the Pryors." Growing up in the Bighorn Basin, Bret Marchant listened to Crow Indian Elders talk of the Nirumbee. As he grew older, Bret began collecting his own research on The Little People. What he found prompted him to dramatize their story in The Little People series. Bret also writes songs, plays the guitar, and has six albums of country western music.
