About the Author

QVC Culinary Expert/On Air Spokesperson and product development expert Lisa Brady was born and raised in a small town outside of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. From a large family with seven siblings, Lisa realized her love of cooking at an early age, while watching and helping her mom cook family meals.

At seventeen, Lisa started working in restaurants as a cook. Before long, she was managing and opening numerous new locations for the same locally owned family brand. In 1985, she took a much-deserved extended vacation to visit her sister, who was living in Pennsylvania, USA. Lisa had planned to return to her career as a restaurant manager, when she met Chris Brady. The two married and later settled down outside of Philadelphia with their two daughters, Caitlin and Heather. Lisa managed local restaurant chains outside of Philadelphia for several years prior to taking a break from the industry to raise her children.

In 2004, Lisa's zesty personality, restaurant experience, and love of cooking brought her to QVC, the world's largest live-shopping channel. Lisa focused on kitchen items, introducing products such as the Instant Pot to QVC families across the nation. The impact of the Instant Pot on Lisa's life was significant. It was a life-changing product that helped her make delicious, quality meals within modern-day time constraints. Many have asked Lisa for her recipes, tips, and tricks, so this cookbook was born to satisfy those requests. It is her pleasure to share her favorite meal experiences with you.
