Watson and Holmes Volume 2 collects multiple one shot stories of our newest take of the detective duo from Harlem.
Volume 2 brings stories from
Lyndsay Faye, the writer of Dust and Shadow, Gods of Gotham, and Seven for A Secret reinterprets a classic short story and Irene Adler in modern New York City.
Brandon Easton writes a compelling story of the murder of a politician's wife in conjunction with sex slavery.
Steven Grant the creator of "2 Guns" and Hannibal Tabu write a story of the 2 going to Chicago to investigate suicides of Veterans of our recent wars.
These stories and others continue with taking our interpretation of Sherlock Holmes and Jon Watson in bold new directions.

Lyndsay grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and migrated to Belmont, California and graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a dual degree in English and Performance. Lyndsay Faye moved to Manhattan in 2005 to audition for work as a professional actress; Her first novel Dust and Shadow: an Account of the Ripper Killings by Dr. John H Watson is a tribute to the aloof genius and his good-hearted friend whose exploits she has loved since childhood. . Faye's love of her adopted city led her to research for her series the Gods of Gotham and Seven for a Secret
Perlow and Mendoza's crowdfunded "racebent" update of Doyle's beloved sleuths transports the crime-solving duo to present-day Harlem, where, as expected, they solve mysteries for both the police and private clients. This second volume introduces new versions of classic antagonists: Moriarty is now a mass-media conglomerate, and Irene Adler—now Adlero—becomes a streetwise musician with an axe to grind. This collection features two chapters plotted by Lyndsay Faye (Dust and Shadow), whose experience with Holmes canon serves this series well, supported by solid, thematically apropos art from N. Steven Harris and Eli Powell. Not every chapter lives up to its namesake; the lead story by Easton (Roboy), a socially conscious tale of transgender sex workers, has noble goals but abandons all Holmesian tropes in the process, while Steven Grant (2 Guns) and Hannibal Tabu's exploration of suicides in the armed forces is clunky and hard to follow. This anthology is as uneven as it is ambitious. (Dec.) \n
