About the Author:
Yang Rui, Ph.D. is a professor, and Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture, School of Architecture at Tsinghua University. He is the director of the China National Landscape Architecture Education Supervisory Committee, deputy Secretary-General and Executive Director of Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture (CHSLA), and Chairperson of the Theory and History Committee of CHSLA. He is also the associate Editor of Chinese Landscape Architecture.

She received her Ph.D. and B.Arch. from Tsinghua University and her MLA from the GSD, at Harvard University.
