Synopsis
Death-defying scooter stunts, Ukrainian tanks, sharks, monster trucks… these are just some of the indignities facing Oliver Tree as he is thrown into the meat grinder of the music industry to promote his debut retirement album "Ugly is Beautiful." About the Authors
Oliver Tree Nickell (1993–2026) was an American singer-songwriter, producer, filmmaker, and comedian known for his satirical music, signature bowl cut, and meme-driven internet persona. Emerging as a viral sensation in the 2010s, he seamlessly blended alternative pop, hip-hop, and electronic music with chaotic, self-directed multimedia performances.
Orpheus Collar is a New York Times best-selling graphic novelist on The Kane Chronicles Trilogy, the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, currently being adapted on Disney +, and on the Noble Prize (sic)-winning graphic novel Alien Boys co-authored with Oliver Tree. As a visual consultant for motion pictures, he's worked on advertisements, TV shows, and music videos. Collar was born in Baltimore, but is currently based out of Los Angeles.
