About the Author

Paul Barton, ABC, is an author, professional speaker, employee communication expert and entrepreneur. He has been passionate about internal communication for more than 20 years and has led highly successful internal communication teams at Hawaiian Airlines, PetSmart, America West Airlines (now American Airlines), Phelps Dodge Corp. (now Freeport-McMoRan), and Arizona Public Service. As a long-time member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Paul has won numerous IABC awards for his work, and he has earned the association's Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) designation. He has been a highly rated speaker by audiences at IABC, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Advanced Learning Institute (ALI), World at Work, and the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI). Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts in Communication from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu.
