About the Author

Dr. Steve Smith's passion is to help pastors and churches by leading them toward transformation through an intimate relationship with God.

For 38 years he has been a pastor, church planter,and regional church supervisor. He is the founder of Church Equippers whose mission is to train pastors, church leaders, and associations of churches in transformational discipleship and effective church ministry systems.

Steve's Doctor of Ministry degree is in Executive Leadership. He is a strategic thinker, relational networker, mentor, and coach for pastors and young leaders. He has authored nine books. He conducts in-person and internet training seminars and consults with churches and denominations on church revitalizaion and transformation-based ministry systems using his Church GameChanger and Increasing Church Capacity materials.

Steve is an extensive reader and has broad interests, including travel, trivia, and history. Married for 41 years to his wife, Shirley, they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. His home base is in central Florida.
