Synopsis

When Dan McGuire was an officer in the Marines, he learned the operations order the standard five-part procedure that militaries use to conduct combat missions. Today he s a theologian and evangelist, and in Marching Orders he adapts the operations order to the mission of spiritual combat: the battle to save souls. Each one of us has been charged by our commander-in-chief Jesus Christ with the solemn mission to preach the gospel to the whole world (Matt. 28:16-20). This is not an optional duty, meant only for the exceptionally smart, holy, or extroverted it s for all of us. Nor is it a job for the fainthearted. It takes virtues like courage and resolve, inner strength and daily acts of conversion. And it takes smart planning. In Marching Orders, Dr. McGuire gives you the virtue-building tools and resources your weapons for the fight you need to be a faithful disciple, and a battle-tested plan for turning your faith into evangelism. He shows you how to survey the field, how to assess your forces and the enemy s, when to advance and when to retreat, how to overcome obstacles, ways to work with our field officers in the Church, and more. Your mission is to spread the Faith. Do you choose to accept?
