1. What We Need
It isn't Enlightenment we need, it is patience, clarity, objectivity, kindness, compassion, self-respect, Faith, generosity, a sense of humor, common sense, discrimination, reliability, trust-worthiness, discipline, integrity, impeccable/ruthless self-honesty, calmness of mind, self-control, conscience, elegance, nobility, dignity, perspective, delight, joy, wonder.
2. Accept What Is
One of the ideas of this Work . . . is to accept who we are, as we are, where we are, and in this acceptance, in this undefended simplicity of 'what is as it is, here and now,' allow the Divine Influence of God to change us according to His Will, instead of our narrow view being the definitive perspective.
3. God Leads The Way
What I am suggesting is that God knows full well our exact state and will provide all the resources needed, in the proper time and place, given the exact capacities and abilities in the moment, for our continued drawing nearer to Him, in our ongoing Revelation of already present Union or Perfection as 'what is, as it is, here and now.' If we simply Intend to serve or to know Him and live the lives He has given us . . . He will chart our paths and direct our activities, establishing us as we need to be established in order to optimally and most effectively serve Him which is no different from optimally and effectively serving the whole of His creation in the ways directly in the forms of what is in front of us, present here and now.
