When preparing for the NAPLEX®, one thing is obvious: the sheer volume of potentially testable information is overwhelming.Yes, you should try your best to prepare comprehensively. However, to optimize your chances of passing, you also need a targeted strategy.
As intellectually stimulating as it might be to review every topic in detail, the reality is that time is limited. If you’re like most pharmacy school graduates, you’re probably giving yourself a month or two to prepare for the NAPLEX®.
Like many, I sat for the NAPLEX® 28 days after graduating, and I passed by a wide margin. Although I can’t reveal the questions I received, I am more than happy to share my exam prep strategy. In fact, I can summarize my strategy in just two words: pharmacy calculations.
Is that all I studied? Of course not, but my primary objective was to get every math question correct. Everything else was secondary. And that’s the purpose of this study guide – to help you ace every math problem.
