About the Author
Heather Hearn Rathnau graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University, earning both Bachelor & Master of Music degrees. Heather is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano and maintains a successful private studio teaching piano, voice and music theory. She directs children's choirs and children's choir workshops, and also provides seminars on vocal technique and creative teaching methods for piano, voice and theory. She is an adjudicator for the National Piano Teachers Guild Auditions, and was named Teacher of the Year by the Texas Music Teachers Association in 2011. Heather also created, authored and published the popular Theory Time K-12 and Medallion Workbook Series with a video instruction website called the Theory Time Online Academy, and she conducts Theory Time workshops throughout the U.S. to assist music teachers. Furthermore, Heather recently authored the National Federation of Music Clubs national theory test curriculum and annual rotational test program. She is listed in Who's Who in America, 60th Edition and Who's Who of American Women.
