Synopsis

Have you or a family member felt like a victim of the revolving door of jails, prisons, and institutions? Are you searching for a way out? Or a way to help a loved one get out and stay out of the judicial system? YOU ARE NOT ALONE, but taking the first step to look and ask for help has lead you to this book, "The Vicious Cycle: A Key to Unlocking the Revolving Door". It will answer some of the questions you've probably always asked. How and why do people continue to live in and out of jail? According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics there are currently 2.3 million people incarcerated in prisons and jails across America. Nationally, 97% of the offenders in jail today will be released and then return to the communities from which they came. Statistics show that 30% of adult offenders released from state prisons are re-arrested within the first six months of their release. Even worse, within three years of their release from prison this increases to 67%, or two out of three, ex-offenders returning to prison. Sadly, revocations are the fastest growing category of prison admissions. Parole violators now account for 35% of new prison admissions as compared to only 17% in 1980. Every day thousands of people continue to make choices that lead them down a road of self-destruction and imprisonment. The good news is there is help and there is hope! In this book, you will learn:  The mindset associated with repeat offenders  How recidivism affects families  What your family can do to help a loved one  Community resources available in your area  Practical tools to use to avoid trouble  How to find a place to live ...AND  How to become successful with a criminal background using my steps to success A few years ago, I took action and today I use my personal testimony and strategies to help others whom have lost their way in this journey we call "life". Chin up! It's not over, in fact, this is a new beginning! A new life of peace and fulfillment awaits! Let's get started...
