My mission is to improve quality oflife for caregivers and their loved one. It started with a simple backyardproject to help my father and mother during a 25-year fight with Parkinson'sand dementia. It has grown into a company that has attracted experts that have joinedour mission.
This book is designed for familycaregivers. The purpose is to provide a resource for caregivers regardingactivities of daily living, engagement, safety and general information. A stepup from Activities 101 for the Family Caregiver--Frontotemporal Dementia, it is based on the principles and instructionprovided to long-term care staffs in various settings.
We have written this book with theassistance of
Robert D. Brennan, RN, NHA, MS, CDP, and
Vanessa Emm, BA, ACC/EDU, AC-BC, CDP, who have been working in long-term carefor a combination of

Vanessa has over 15 years experience in the senior care. She is a Certified Activity Consultant, Certified Dementia Care Practitioner, and Certified Activity Director. She teaches the MEPAP and Home Care Certification course for new professionals entering the field. 
In addition to her teaching duties, Vanessa works with and consults for Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Home Care Agencies.
