Practitioners and academics in speech-language pathology offer guidance to speech-language pathology assistants in a practical reference to a wide range of topics that they may find of value. They cover defining roles: speech language pathology assistants, skills development, and treatment for specific populations and disorders. Among their topics are defining roles: supervision and mentoring, deciphering lesson plans and goals, using behavioral principles, incorporating play and literacy in treatment, and adults with acquired neurologic disorders.
