Ray Nelms wasn't born a monster. He had a fairly banal young childhood in West Texas, trailing around after the older brother he idolized. Ray didn't enter the world evil. No. He was made that way.
A character warped at the hands of his father, a young Ray was guided on the first tentative steps down the path of darkness in an effort to save his brother. Reuben was everything good in the world, and Ray desperately wanted him to stay that way.
Through the years, the wicked machinations of his paternal mentor branded twisted trails into Ray's psyche, leaving him always searching for the next intoxicating high.
Only Ray's addiction wasn't borne on illicit drugs. It came from a place deep inside him, where the blackness clamored for violence and blood.
Through the years, he kept it fed very well.
This is the tale of how it finally came to an end.
