About the Author:

Oneida L. Gilbert is an impassioned writer and optimistic visionary. She studied elementary education, music, and theology and is a retired nurse. She credits her mother, a former school teacher, and life experience as reasons for her love of words and writing. As a child, she conjured up short stories, poetry, and song lyrics with her imagination. She believes writing is cathartic and that her inspiration comes through meditation and communing with the Creator. Gilbert enjoys a quiet life in rural North Carolina with her husband and two dogs. She has one son and three grandchildren. A few of her favorite pastimes--learning about the cosmos, watching nature documentaries, reading, and playing with her model trains. Her favorite styles of music are jazz, classical, and Rhythm-and-Blues.
