About the Author

Josef “Joe” Stanislaus Zubrzycki was born on May 5, 1960 in Zubrzyca Dolna, Poland and lived there with his family for the first 5 years of his life. These years formed the foundation of the intuitive understanding of wholeness within the contrasting world fragmented thoughts and beliefs apparent in current life. Joe’s educational experience took place in Chicago, Illinois beginning with grade school at St. Michael the Archangel then high school at Quigley South Preparatory Seminary. Along with a strong religious home life, these years provided a vantage point of how others interacted with their views on religion and spirituality. The next major transition in Joe’s life happened at Lewis University during a course in “The Religious History of Mankind before Christ”. The major text in the course was The Sacred and the Profane. The understanding was born that humans have always searched for a higher relationship with the spiritual. Thus, began Joe’s truth-seeking quest about spirituality as an adult. After just a year and a half of college Joe entered the world of restaurant business ownership with family... Zubrzycki’s Warsaw Inn. He had worked in the family business as an employee since age 12. The great lessons through the next 30 years were based in the service of others, leadership and coaching. Joe achieved his greatest awareness in the contrast of abundance and scarcity depending on mindset popularly referred to as the law of attraction. In 2010, Joe left the family business to embark on this current journey of freedom with joyful ease. This enlightenment quest started based on the release of antiquated beliefs and principles that no longer serve us. Three new businesses were started during this new chapter involving creative visionary awareness and development. A few years later inspired in part by a study of A Course in Miracles, the writing of Awake from Ego was completed with an extreme gratitude for the journey and all the wonderful encouraging souls met along the way.
