About the Author

Born and raised in Denver, I journeyed from the Rocky Mountains to the New England coast.  I eventually became a psychologist.  While practicing in the Navy, at the Menninger Clinic, or in my private practice, I've always found time to write. Writing about people and their struggles has been an integral part of what I do.  I have authored three professional books - Disordered Thinking and The Rorschach, 1999, followed by its cousins Assessing Psychosis, 2015, and  Rorschach Assessment of Psychotic Phenomena , 2017.  Unable to resist the play of imagination, I completed my debut novel, The 11th Inkblot, published in 2020.

Writing provides a creative space for inventing interesting, quirky characters, wrapping them in conflicts and mysteries, and telling stories about their inner lives and experiences.

From the Inside Flap

Caught between a distant father's precision crafting of elegant timepieces and an enigmatic mother's fascination with telling fortunes with blots of ink, Anton Zellinsky seeks to discover his identity and unravel the unsettling ambiguities of his boyhood. A historical fiction, The 11th Inkblot is a coming of age story involving unexplained family alienation, trauma, discovery, and healing. A deeply satisfying journey through a man's life, filled with haunting characters, the story, itself, becomes an inkblot as it invites readers to imagine and interpret the mysteries that abound.
