Synopsis

The Lord said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them (Matt. 19:14)." But for many parents, it is difficult to find the words to tell small children about God, to warm the spark of faith given to them in Holy Baptism into a flame.
As parents, we often look for help in explaining "the mystery of faith (1 Tim. 3:9)" to our children. This series of books is designed to help parents unpack the mystery of God's economy of salvation, of His love for us, by combining a simple and clear narrative with beautiful illustrations drawn from the iconographic tradition of the Church. This second book, "The Resurrection of Christ," sets out the story of Pascha. Beginning with Lazarus Saturday and Palm Sunday, it retells the story of Christ's saving passion and death and live-giving Resurrection.
It is our hope that even very young children will enjoy listening to their parents read to them and will, with the help of the illustrations, begin to understand the great mystery of our salvation in Christ.
