I mean really, is there truly a market for poetry? Though, it was more than the nudging of a few dear friends, but the voice of GOD that put this collection together. It is my hope that this book will take you on a journey of faith, covering a range of emotions and the difficulties of this life to GOD’s ultimate GLORY. After all, half the battle of trudging through the rough stuff is knowing you’re not alone. Join me on this roller coaster ride climbing over worldly desires to landing in the beautiful grace of GOD. The whole idea, of FALLING SHORT (Of God’s Great Glory), is that we can often feel that we are not good enough or worthy enough of HIS love (glory), as we compare out relationship to HIM with our relation-ships of this world, yet HIS salvation & forgiveness is offered to each and every one of us. This is not a Christian book per say, just the observations on life make by a Christian woman through her journey. You can call it poetry, prose & prayer for every occasion. Maybe you will relate to stories of lost love and lust-filled emptiness or you’ll find joy in the praise to GOD. Call it poems & prose for every occasion. Spanning over three decades of raw feelings & dreams (be them good or bad), within these words, you’ll find topics far beyond simple love & heartache. There’s anger, trying to make it in this world (work related), the fake people we meet, narcissists, pride, ego, suicide, death, fighting cancer (or the doc-tor’s that profit from it), having a child with seizures, being pushed away & feeling alone. And more than that, you’ll uncover how beautifully GOD can make all things work together for good. You’ll find stories of redemption, hope, and true love like you’ve never known, along with the thankfulness you can find even through what may seem like endless struggles. This book is 30 + years in the making.  Many observances through different stages of life are compiled in these writings with a mission to let others know they are never alone in their thoughts or feelings.  Today's world seems to be based on the motto "it's not of my business, not my problem", people keep to themselves more & can often feel isolated like they are the only one who's ever dealt with such troubles. Hopefully this book will show readers they are not the only one, that others deal with similar issues, & that writing can be a means of coping with their emotions & thoughts.  The ultimate goal of putting all these works together is to show that even when you think you are alone, GOD is there and he's trying to help, if you let him.   May you be blessed by this reading.

About the Author

Thank you God for the gift of gab! Nikki Walton Stone has made a career of talking and writing. A radio announcer since the age of 14, commercial copy writer, and at one point even a community newspaper writer, Nikki's life has pretty much been words. With the uncanny ability to change experience into prose & poetry, Nikki presents her first book FALLING SHORT (Of God's Great Glory), a collection of simple observations through different stages of life in this world. Some of that experience she's converted into her writings include dealing with Doctors & the public over her son, Trevor's seizure condition, battling with doctor's over her own cancer diagnoses and building a relationship with the LORD, GOD ALMIGHTY. GOD has been ever present in her struggles. The day she was was diagnosed with "cancer that has mostly likely been in your body 5 years and already spread", she stood out on her front porch looking out at all the beauty of the Nicholson, PA countryside she lived in, she looked up and said "God this is your will, not mine, what ever you are going to do with it, I accept it". She clearly heard "this is not the type of cancer you have & you will be a blessing through it. That "voice" was right, it wasn't that type of cancer. She couldn't doubt any of it, after all, God guided her through her son's seizures to 2 years seizure free never doing any medicine. Today it is Nikki's goal to glorify God and let others know that HE is ever loving, ever present, & so willing to welcome you. There will be more books to come.
