About the Author

PR Hersey is a Maine native with a BS degree in medical technology. After years in the medical field and as an instructor-trainer in CPR and First Aid, and a water safety instructor with the American Red Cross, she took on a new career in disability insurance. A lifelong love of the written word led to writing—poetry, children’s books, short stories and novels. In addition to fiction, PR Hersey has written for insurance publications, has been published in the 'New England Journal of Insurance Medicine,' and edited many insurance newsletters and other insurance-related articles. Her first novel, "The Takedown," is a fictional murder mystery based in the world of insurance claims. PR Hersey continues to study writing and photo-illustrating and the ever-changing nature of life and her fellow man, always a source of wonder—and good material.
