In the small rural town of Concrete near the Cascade Mountains of Washington state, a small group of survivors fight for their lives. Follow Ben, a former Special Forces Green Beret and his wife; Ashley, a former MWD K9 handler along with their dog Thor as they try to save their small town. While all law and order disappear and the threads of society disintegrate; Ben and Ashley will have to use all of their military training to save those they love as well as each other. All the while, not realizing the plague victims are not their worst enemy....

*****One awesome book.The book kept me riveted to my seat all the way from page one to the end. Speaking of the end, it came way too soon. I can't wait for the next book. I have a military background with much combat experience and was totally blown away with the intimate knowledge of weapons, munitions, combat tactics and scenes. The plot could easily be a real one in our world of today. When I first heard about the book I thought I would not be able to relate to a female heroine. That is far from the case. I found it actually a refreshing viewpoint. Amazon Paperback

The characters were mostly engaging, the plot line is fairly fresh for post apocalyptic survival fiction and it did have you cheering for the "good" guys. I really liked that fact that the main character(s) did not know every single thing. I liked that fact that the majority of the supporting characters had skills that contributed. I definitely plan on reading more of this series as I feel the authors tell a good story. I hope the authors keep writing and evolving as story tellers. Amazon Kindle

*****Great read! Can't wait for Volume 2! Part science fiction, part how-to survival guide for the apocalypse. Enjoyable read! I can't wait for the next volume to come out. I love the survivalist slant that this book takes. The authors go into great detail on preparations, weapons, gear, and load-outs for all the different scenarios the protagonists are faced with. It is easy to see the real world applications and it is obvious that the authors have a great deal of experience in this area. They have created a compelling story. Once I hit the half-way point, I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to further adventures. Amazon Paperback
