Ambrose; a young, well educated and confident gentleman, though an orphan at birth is found and brought up by a benevolent Doctor named Aldrich Adamson, who is a Doctor and an active governor at the 'St. Thomas's Hospital' in London in 1806. Ambrose is appointed by the British East India Company to be deputed to India at the city of Vellore in the South India as Lieutenant Colonel under Colonel St. John Fancourt, who was serving as the Commander at the Vellore Fort. During a mutiny, Ambrose is mortally wounded and shipped back to London in a critical state due to acute blood loss. However, upon gaining consciousness a month later, he finds himself at the 'St. Thomas's Hospital' and exhibits strange habits, such as sleeping during the day and staying awake at night. He becomes romantically involved with a beautiful nurse named; Acacia who had helped his father; Dr. Adamson in saving his life. However, there is more than what meets the eye. Acacia and his father; Aldrich, both have a past unknown to him, shrouded in mystery and might have answers to his origins and his strange habits.
