Married women don’t talk much about divorce—perhaps because they’re afraid of jinxing their own marriages. Yet over half of all married couples divorce, so this reluctance to discuss the issue leaves many women unprepared for the painful eventuality.

This Is Divorce shares information and knowledge all women—even those in seemingly stable marriages—should know. Author Robin Black, herself a divorced single mother, breaks down the journey through divorce into an easily understood five-part process. In empathetic, easy-to-read language, she guides readers through these steps:

  • “The End”—the practical and emotional sides of preparing for divorce
  • “The Chaos”—the courtroom experience and the legal end of your marriage
  • “Who Will Take Out the Trash?”—an exploration of your postdivorce life
  • “It’s Time to Date”—getting your sexy persona back in the era of online dating
  • “The Beginning”—moving forward and finding your happiness

An honest, authentic look at divorce from a woman who has lived through it and emerged stronger and empowered, This Is Divorce provides real-life solutions to women experiencing—or contemplating—the dissolution of a marriage. With this book as your guide, you’ll understand an important truth: divorce isn’t an end; it’s a new beginning.
