Synopsis

Special introductory offer. Price will be increasing any day now! Manfred Von Richthofen – the Red Flier, scourge of the skies – is dying. He knows it, even if those around him refuse to believe it. In constant pain, the handsome and reclusive German officer decides to set down another account of his life. The first was arrogant – the voice of unwounded youth. This one is candid and open, a catalog of loves and losses, hopes and regrets. The last week of a man who made history, a kaleidoscope of a life lived for all the right reasons, whatever the results. J. B. Elim's historical account of this greatly admired German hero is an interesting and easy read. Especially for those of you who find history boring. Elim makes history come alive by putting flesh on the bones as it were and you feel as though you are accompanying Manfred throughout this account of his life.
