Synopsis
In this poignant story, set during the height of the war between the Jamaican Maroons and the British, an intrepid British soldier, Peter McAndrews, sneaks into New Nanny Town to visit his secret wife, Janey of the Maroons. They meet, appropriately, on the bank of Hidemiaway Spring. However, they unknowingly attract a curse which has the power to replicate itself, and tragedy inevitably follows.
Their star- crossed meeting activates a train of events which two centuries later metamorphoses into Letty's Pool, where one unfortunate young woman met her demise, and the well-being of another is threatened when theriver maid whose path they accidentally crossed comes to claim her prize.
Will these 'rivers or time' now combine to forever drown love for Peter's descendants, or is there a greater power that can set them free?
