Amanda Aaron Amanda Aaron has built her career around providing education in her craft, soapmaking. She has taught all over the United States in various classrooms and presents annually at conferences and seminars put on by the handcrafted soap industry’s top guilds and organizations. Her online soapmaking Facebook Group, Saponification Nation, has over 27,000 members. After learning the craft of soapmaking, Amanda started an educational blog at LovinSoap.com, which features step-by-step full color photographic tutorials, articles, troubleshooting advice and general information about soapmaking. She publishes books & eBooks on the topic of soapmaking and has written for industry publications such as Handmade Magazine, Making Soap and Soap Collaborative. In 2013 after a heart-moving trip to Haiti to teach a group of women living in a tent camp how to make soap, she decided to use her love of teaching to help as many women as possible in similar situations. Along with Benjamin, she created a not-for-profit whose aim was to teach women in developing nations the craft and the business of soapmaking, tackling two of poverty’s biggest issues — lack of access to hygiene and lack of economic opportunity for women. The Lovin’ Soap Project is a registered 501(c)(3) and is currently working in Haiti, Uganda, Senegal, China, Fiji, Kenya and India and will continue to expand to other areas where women need opportunity. Benjamin Aaron In addition to co-directing the 501(c)(3) non-profit, The Lovin’ Soap Project, Benjamin is a partner for The Lovin’ Soap Studio alongside Amanda. His passion is to provide individuals with a new lease on life. So many of us live a life of quiet desperation. Mentally and emotionally, we handcuff ourselves every day and tell anyone who will listen why things just won’t work out for us. Benjamin’s aim is to put a stop to this and open lives up to the real, raw ambitions we all have. You must set goals if you want anything in life. He has mastered the true power of goal-setting, and he loves to show people how to set unique goals. Connect with Amanda and Benjamin online at www.lovinsoap.com and learn more about the Lovin’ Soap Project at www.lovinsoapproject.org! Also, join the #1 soapmaking Facebook Group, Saponification Nation!
