Synopsis
Rauno Rämekorpi, un riche industriel finlandais, fête ses soixante ans. Les invités affluent les bras chargés de fleurs et de cadeaux. Mais Mme Rämekorpi est allergique au pollen et Rauno se voit prié, le dernier convive parti, de convoyer les fleurs à la décharge. En chemin, notre héros a une bien meilleure idée : il offrira les bouquets à ses nombreuses maîtresses. Commence alors une tournée qui va mener notre fringant sexagénaire d'un lit à un autre dans un déluge de champagne et de bonne chère. En attendant que ce don Juan prenne, quelques mois plus tard, à ses risques et périls, les habits du Père Noël... Une farce aux accents rabelaisiens, une réjouissante galerie de portraits de femmes victimes d'un héros qu'on adorera détester !

About the Author
Arto Paasilinna est né en Laponie finlandaise en 1942 et mort le 15 octobre 2018 à Espoo, près de Helsinki. Successivement bûcheron, ouvrier agricole, journaliste et poète, il est l'auteur d'une vingtaine de livres, pour la plupart traduits en français et publiés chez Denoël, où ils ont toujours rencontré un grand succès. Citons entre autres Le Meunier hurlant, Le Lièvre de Vatanen, Petits suicides entre amis ou encore Un homme heureux.
