Synopsis
La première tragédie romaine de Racine montre les effets de la passion destructrice sur des enjeux plus nobles : les successions dynastiques, les luttes pour le pouvoir impérial, le devenir des empires. La disgrâce d'Agrippine et la mort de Britannicus affermissent le pouvoir personnel de Néron, révèlent sa nature criminelle et ses désirs monstrueux.
