About the Author
Patricia Highsmith est nee au Texas en 1921. Son premier roman, L'Inconnu du Nord-Express, est devenu un grand classique de la litterature policiere qui inspira Hitchcock. Suivirent nombre de chefs-d'oeuvre qui firent de Highsmith l'auteur le plus adapte au grand ecran. Elle a vecu longtemps en France et en Suisse, ou elle s'est eteinte en 1995. L'ensemble de son oeuvre est publie aux editions Calmann-Levy.
