Leur guerre a duré quinze ans, depuis les rives du Rhin ou de l'Oder en 1940 jusqu'à la cuvette de Diên Biên Phu en 1954. Soldats français en rupture de Vichy ou héros de la France libre, soldats de la Wehrmacht ou des marches de l'Est européen, génération broyée par un conflit planétaire, ils se sont tissés une aventure comme on joue une dernière carte.
