About the Author
Né le 3 juin 1949 à Paris, Philippe Djian grandit dans la capitale. En 1967, il se met à beaucoup voyager. De nombreux petits boulots (docker, vendeur, magasinier...) lui permettent de partir régulièrement à l'autre bout du monde. En 1981, il entame l'écriture des nouvelles qui composeront 50 contre 1. Ses premiers romans ont été publiés aux Éditions Bernard Barrault. Après Bleu comme l'enfer et Zone érogène, parus respectivement en 1983 et 1984, il connaîtra la célébrité auprès du grand public au moment de l'adaptation au cinéma de 37°2 le matin par Jean-Jacques Beineix. Le succès du roman, bientôt traduit dans une vingtaine de pays, est considérable. Aux États-Unis, il rédige ensuite Crocodiles, Échine et Lent dehors (tous publiés aux Éditions Bernard Barrault). La prochaine étape de l'écrivain voyageur, en 1991, est Florence où il écrit Sotos (Gallimard). En 1994, à Bordeaux, il commence à rédiger le premier volume de ce qui deviendra une trilogie (Assassins, Criminels, Sainte-Bob). À Lausanne, en Suisse, il écrit Vers chez les blancs. Ne cessant de voyager, il revient à Paris où il publie entre autres Ardoise, chez Julliard, en 2002. Il a publié les différentes saisons de Doggy bag chez Julliard entre 2005 et 2008. Son dernier ouvrage, Oh..., a paru chez Gallimard en 2012. Depuis 1989, Djian écrit les paroles en français des albums de Stephan Eicher.

Couverture souple. Condition: Très bon. Description : Présentation en quatrième de couverture -- Ce que l'on craignait est arrivé : Victor Sollens s'est pendu. Le niveau des eaux baisse, le fleuve retourne dans son lit, Irène est saine et sauve, mais le vieil homme n'a pas supporté d'être rejeté par les siens - pour une vague histoire de trahison dont il se serait rendu coupable. De son côté, David découvre que Josianne n'est pas enceinte, ce qu'il n'apprécie que moyennement puisque c'était la raison pour laquelle il l'avait épousée. Autant dire que pour certains les choses ne vont pas très fort. A présent, plusieurs mois ont passé. L'arrière-saison est magnifique, la nature étonnamment luxuriante. Et il y a un grand plaisir à écrire là-dessus, sur le cheminement des âmes aujourd'hui, sur ces choses que nous avons sous les yeux, étrangement belles et menaçantes. Ph. Djian -- .
