Synopsis
Le complot des Sarmates : Aquae Sextiae, en l’an 17 ap. J.-C., le gladiateur Beryllus recherche la jolie Sabina qui a disparu dans Colonia Julia. La richissime et énigmatique Mesie Divina ne serait pas étrangère à l’affaire et pourrait même être à la tête d’un complot qui cherche à provoquer un soulèvement en Germanie du Sud contre le gouverneur Germanicus…
La Tarasque : 15 ans après Le complot des Sarmates, Beryllus est devenu centurion et a épousé Sabina. Ils se sont établis à Massilia où Judith, arrivant de Galilée, est sur les traces de Marthe, une amie de son père. Sa quête lui fera remonter le Rhône où sévit depuis quelque temps un monstre terrible qui dévore les voyageurs. Beryllus sera dépêché le long du fleuve pour traquer et tuer cette bête sauvage…
