Passionnée, maniaque, un peu fauchée, extravagante, miss Hanff réclame à Frank Doel les livres introuvables qui assouviront son insatiable soif de découvertes. Vingt ans plus tard, ils s'écrivent toujours et la familiarité a laissé place à l'intime, presque à l'amour.
