Synopsis
Quentin, Dylan et Chloé, pensionnaires dans une école spécialisée, apprennent à pallier leurs handicaps grâce au dessin. Cécile, leur éducatrice, et Marcel, le gardien, les incitent à dessiner les animaux, oiseaux et insectes, qui vivent sur un petit terrain juste à côté de l'école, le dernier bout de verdure alentour. Mais, bientôt, des bulldozers arrivent, dirigés par M. Harmé. Les trois enfants, outrés par le sort réservé aux animaux, se révoltent. Le lendemain, les enfants et Marcel forment une chaîne humaine. M. Harmé n'hésite pas à faire appel à la police pour les expulser du terrain. C'est sans compter sur Quentin qui mobilise toute sa concentration et parvient, malgré son handicap, à récolter des informations capitales sur Internet : les batraciens vivant sur ce terrain sont une espèce protégée. Les travaux doivent donc cesser. Suite à cette belle victoire, Chloé parviendra elle aussi à se dépasser... en avouant son amour à Quentin !

About the Authors
Jean-Marie Defossez est un auteur belge résidant en France. Après un doctorat en zoologie, il est devenu auteur pour la jeunesse. Il écrit notamment des livres à visée écologique sur le thème des animaux.
Emmanuel Ristord a fait ses études à l'École supérieure de l'image d'Angoulême. Il vit aujourd'hui à Nantes, où il travaille dans un grand atelier appelé "La baie noire", avec 14 collègues !
