About the Author

Dominique Delalande is an internationally renowned collector and antique dealer of marine objects. He is an expert on objects related to navigation, tobacco, and opium with the French National Experts’ Company. He was a coorganizer of the exhibition Les Fleurs du Mal: Five Centuries of Art Objects Linked to Tobacco on Opiate-Related Antiques, which is considered the ultimate reference on the subject. Eric Delalande is the son and partner of Dominique Delalande and a coorganizer of the Les Fleurs du Mal exhibit.
