Synopsis
L’invité, c’est Ryu Yosop, un pasteur coréen exilé aux États-Unis, amené à passer quelques jours en Corée du Nord pour y retrouver des membres de sa famille. Mais l’invité, c’est aussi un terrible fléau, importé en Corée par l’Occident : tant la variole... que les idéologies, porteuses de destruction et de mort. About the Author
Hwang Sok-Yong, né en 1943, a obtenu de nombreux prix littéraires. Son engagement lui a valu l’exil et la prison. Certaines de ses œuvres connaissent un succès international et sont adaptées au théâtre et au cinéma. L’auteur s’est associé avec Hong Sok-Jung (prix Manhae), J.M. Le Clézio et Orhan Pamuk (deux prix Nobel de littérature) pour mettre sur pied un train pour la paix (de Paris à Séoul), à l’occasion du soixantième anniversaire du déclenchement de la guerre de Corée (juin 1950).
