Synopsis
Aimé Maeght, célèbre marchand d’art, collectionneur et mécène, voua sa vie à l’art moderne et contemporain. D'abord simple ouvrier lithographe, il travaille avec Bonnard puis Matisse. De ces deux rencontres décisives naît la galerie Maeght à Paris en 1945. Ami intime de Braque, Miró, Giacometti, Léger, Chagall et bien d’autres, Aimé Maeght expose les maîtres modernes et les talents en devenir. En 1964, il crée la Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght à Saint-Paul-de-Vence. C’est l’histoire de cette famille hors du commun que raconte Yoyo Maeght, petite-fille d’Aimé. Souvenirs d’une vie passée entre vernissages, rencontres, fêtes, expositions, projets entre Paris et Saint-Paul-de-Vence, on découvre aussi les fractures d’une famille qui se disloque.
