Paperback. Condition: NEUF. " Je vais vous raconter ma vie pitoyable." Tel est, dit avec beaucoup d'humour, le propos tenu par le narrateur du nouveau roman d'Irène Cohen-Janca. Antonin (comme Artaud devinera-t-on plus tard) est un de ces ados plutôt bien dans leur corps et dans leur tête, qui ne se prend justement pas trop la tête au lycée. Par contre, il passe pas mal de temps à s'interroger sur le sens de la vie. Comment on fait, pour la réussir, d'ailleurs ?Car, à regarder les adultes qui l'entourent, cela l'inquiéterait plutôt de vieillir, Antonin. Ses parents, plutôt sympas mais mutiques, gardent les yeux bien fermés sur le drame qui se joue à la maison : leur fille aînée, Emma, 18 ans, parfaite en tout, à l'école et à la maison, mais anorexique.Le cauchemar d'Antonin, cette soeur qu'on lui donne en modèle. Pourtant, c'est lui, et non ses parents, qui va l'aider à se soigner.À ses parents toujours trop " raisonnables ", normaux jusqu'à l'ennui, Antonin préfère son oncle, Max, qui a fait Mai-68 comme d'autres ont fait la guerre de 14-18 et qui prône encore le slogan " soyez réalistes, demandez l'impossible ". C'est avec ce vieil ado attardé qu'il a de longues conversations, historiques et littéraires, même si Max ne veut pas s'attarder sur certains épisodes de sa jeunesse :Pourquoi, par exemple, cache-t-il une photo de la mère d'Antonin, à l'âge de 17 ans ? Les adultes auraient donc certains mystères. Enfin, il y a le regard intense du clochard qu'il croise chaque jour sur le trottoir, devant chez lui. Ce clochard qui cache, lui, un livre, qui excite la curiosité de l'ado. Un clochard bizarre, qui ne boit pas mais a dû, sûrement, rater des rendezvous dans sa vie. Ce qu'Antonin ne voudrait pas, notamment avec Léa, sa première petite copine, " sa petite agence de notation perso ", comme il dit qui, tous les jours, le menace de dégradation.Une nouvelle fois, Irène Cohen- Janca nous emporte dans un roman plein d'énergie, drôle et pertinent sur l'époque, dans la veine de Fashion Victim, son plus beau succès.
