Elles livrent aussiun potentiel fictionnel : un territoire situé au-delà du visible ou du connu, de cetétrange arrière-pays où la vie commence et se termine. Hinterland libère l'échodu monde dans ses failles, tels, en creux, une mémoire silencieuse de soi, unarrière-pays intérieur. Si la schizoïdie est l'incapacité de se rendre compte de sapropre solitude, Hinterland en serait le reflet ; dans et hors du monde.
